About this sandown gift
Sandown is a small place, and the people who grew up there tend to hold on to it. A Sandown shirt is how someone who left for a bigger city, or who never left at all, says where they're from without a long explanation. Because it's a small town, most people will ask what it means to them, so the details that make it theirs matter more than the name alone. A shirt for a long-time resident might carry a street, a school, or the year they moved in. For someone who has moved away, a mug on the kitchen counter is a daily reminder of home. Many designs have a second line, so you can add a year, a neighborhood, or a nickname the locals use. The shirt works best when it's the one thing they reach for on a weekend morning, and a little personal text makes that happen.
