About this slidell gift
Slidell is a city on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain in St. Tammany Parish, just across the lake from New Orleans. People who grew up there tend to carry it with them, whether they still live nearby or have moved to Houston, Atlanta or somewhere far colder. A Slidell shirt is how they say where they're from without a long explanation, and it works on game day, at a family reunion, or on the trip back home for the holidays. Since most people in Slidell want to tell you which part of town they're from, a second line for a neighborhood or a street can make the gift feel like theirs. For the transplant who misses the lake, a mug or hoodie with Slidell on it is a small daily reminder of home.
