About this south paris gift
South Paris is a small town in Maine, and people who grew up there tend to stay attached to it in a very particular way. They know the river, the mill history, the drive out to the lake, and which diner still does the good breakfast. A shirt that says South Paris is how someone who moved away wears home on a Tuesday, and how a local signals to a stranger that they're from somewhere specific. Because it's a small place, a second line makes a big difference: a graduation year, a high school class, a street or the name of their family's farm can turn a town name into a personal one. For someone who's left and misses it, a mug on the kitchen counter is a daily reminder. For someone still living there, a hoodie for the cold Maine months says it better than any postcard.
