About this sycamore gift
Sycamore is a small city in Illinois, a town where people tend to stay for life and bring their kids up the same streets they grew up on. A Sycamore shirt is the kind of thing a longtime resident wears to a Friday football game, a farmers market or a weekend trip out of town, when someone asks where they're from and they want the answer to be obvious. For a former resident who left for college or a job, a Sycamore hoodie or mug is a quiet way to say they still belong to the place. Because it's a smaller city, a local detail on the second line of the design can mean more than the name alone: a street, a school year, or the year someone moved there. A baby onesie with the town name is also a common first gift for a new family in the area, since it's the first thing a kid will ever wear that says where they're from.
