About this taft gift
Taft is a small city in Kern County, California, out in the hills of the San Joaquin Valley, and the people who grew up there tend to hold on to it. A Taft shirt is a way to claim that town, whether it's for a homecoming trip, a family reunion or a friend who moved away for work and still talks about the oil fields and the hot summers. Because the name is short and the town is small, the best gifts lean on the connection rather than the place alone. Add a year they graduated, the street they grew up on, or a family name in the second line so it reads as theirs. Taft isn't a big-city name, so a mug or hoodie with the town on it often lands as a conversation starter with coworkers in a bigger place.
