About this tamaqua gift
Tamaqua is a small town in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, set in the coal region, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with the town name is how a former resident wears their roots to a family reunion, a college campus or a city where nobody has heard of the place. Because it's a small town, the people who know it best will recognize the name immediately, which makes it a gift that lands with someone who misses home. For a grad heading off to school, a hoodie with Tamaqua on it says where they started. For a parent or grandparent who has lived there their whole life, a mug is the everyday version: a small piece of the town for the kitchen table. Add a year or a street name on the second line if you want it to feel more personal.
