About this tidioute gift
Tidioute is a small borough on the Allegheny River in northwestern Pennsylvania, and people who grew up there tend to hold onto the name long after they've moved on. A shirt with Tidioute on it is for the person who still gets back for the holidays, the one who can say exactly which bridge or bend in the river they mean, or the family that has lived there for generations. Because it's a small place, the gift doesn't need to explain itself to anyone who's from there, and it becomes a conversation starter for everyone else. For the one who left, a mug or hoodie carries the hometown into their new life. Add a year underneath, like the year they moved away or the year they graduated from the local school, and the design starts to tell their story as well as the town's.
