About this traverse city gift
Traverse City people are a particular kind of Michigander: they know the cherry festival is worth the traffic, they can tell you which bay has the warmest water in July, and they say the name like it's the center of the world. A Traverse City shirt is how a local claims that for the day. It's also a strong pick for the former resident who moved to Chicago or Detroit and still checks the lake forecast. For someone who grew up there, add the neighborhood or the year they left, and the shirt starts to mean more than a souvenir. Visitors who fell for the town during a summer trip love a hoodie for the chilly evenings that come off the water even in August. Put the city on a mug for the coffee cup that goes out on the porch every morning. Keep the design simple and let the name carry it.
