About this tucumcari gift
Tucumcari is a small town on Route 66 in northeastern New Mexico, and people who grew up there or passed through often carry a strong attachment to its wide-open high plains and the old highway that runs through town. A gift for someone from Tucumcari works best when it recognizes that connection without overselling it. A tee for the person who left and still tells people where they're from, a hoodie for cold mornings on the plains, or a mug for the kitchen of someone who misses the place. Since the name itself is distinctive, it stands out well on a plain shirt. You can type a second line for a street, a school class year or a family name to make it theirs. Because the word is a specific place name, the shirt says something real about where they come from.
