About this unadilla gift
Unadilla is a small village in Otsego County, New York, and the people who grew up there tend to carry the name with them wherever they land. A shirt with the village name is how a former resident says home without a long explanation, and it's an easy gift for someone who has moved away for work or school and still gets homesick for the place. Because it's a small place, most shoppers will be buying for a relative, an old friend or a classmate, so a personal second line matters more than a generic souvenir. A graduation year, a class name or a family name under the village name turns a simple design into a memory. Hoodies suit colder climates and the trip back for holidays, while a mug is the morning reminder on the kitchen counter of a new apartment.
