About this vashon gift
Vashon is an island in Puget Sound, reached by ferry from Seattle and Tacoma, and the people who live there tend to be fiercely attached to it. A Vashon shirt is how a islander says so: at the ferry landing, at the island's fairs and farmers markets, or on a trip off-island where someone asks where they're from. It's a small place with a strong sense of community, so a design that names the island itself lands more warmly than a generic souvenir. For someone who grew up there and left, or who moved there for the quiet and the water, a mug or hoodie with the island name is a reminder of home. Pick a light tee for summer ferry rides and a hoodie for the gray months, when the island is at its most itself.
