About this washtucna gift
Washtucna is a small town in Adams County, in the southeastern part of Washington state, out where the wheat fields run flat for miles. If you know someone from there, you know that a town this size makes people proud in a quiet way. A shirt with the town name is how a former resident tells the world where they're from, whether they live down the road now or in a city hundreds of miles away. Because the word is unusual, many people will ask about it, and that gives the gift a good story. Add a second line with the year they graduated from the local school, a family name, or the years they lived there. For someone who moved away, a mug with Washtucna on it is a daily reminder of home. For a family that still lives there, matching hoodies for a reunion or a town event bring everyone together.
