About this west paterson gift
West Paterson is a community in Passaic County, New Jersey, and people who grew up there often carry it with them long after they've moved on. A shirt with the town name is how they say where they're from, whether that's to a coworker in another state or to a cousin who never made it past the Garden State Parkway. Because the town is small and specific, a West Paterson shirt tends to start conversations: someone who knows the place will light up, and someone who doesn't will ask. For the person who came back to raise a family near the same streets they knew as kids, a hoodie for the cold months or a mug for the morning commute is a quiet way to say that the place still belongs to them. If you know their street or the year they graduated from the local school, add it on the second line and the shirt becomes theirs in particular.
