About this yuma proving gro gift
Yuma Proving Ground is a US Army testing range in the desert of southwestern Arizona, a long way from the bright lights of the city. People who've worked or trained there often describe it as a place that gets into your system: the heat, the wide open sky, the distance from everything else. A shirt with the name is a way to say they were part of it, and it's the kind of thing that starts a conversation with another veteran or a curious friend. Add their unit, their years there, or a rank in the second line and it becomes theirs rather than a generic souvenir. For the person who served and still talks about the desert, a hoodie for cold mornings somewhere else or a mug for the kitchen is a quiet way of saying you remember where they were.
