About this addictions counselor gift
Addictions counselors do heavy, quiet work. They sit with people on some of the hardest days of their lives, then go home and try to leave it at the door. A gift for one lands best when it's comfortable and a little funny, something that says you see the job without turning it into a speech. A soft tee for the drive home, a hoodie for the office that's always too cold, a mug that stays on their desk through back-to-back sessions. Make it theirs by typing in the credential they earned, like CADC, LCDC or LADC, or the name of their clinic or program on the second line. If you're buying for a whole treatment team, one design with each person's name on their own shirt feels better than a gift card passed around the break room. Graduation from a counseling program and a new license are good moments to order, and so is any ordinary Friday after a long week.
