About this alameda gift
Alameda is an island city in San Francisco Bay, reached by bridge or tunnel, and people who live there tend to be proud of the slower pace and the bay views. A shirt that says Alameda is how a local marks that, whether they're walking the Bay Trail, heading to the ferry or just getting back from a weekend on the water. It's also a city people leave and miss, so a shirt or mug sends them home for a morning. For someone who grew up there and now lives somewhere else, a tee or hoodie with Alameda on it reads like a letter from the old neighborhood. Add a second line with a street, a school year or the year they moved away, and the design becomes a small piece of their own history rather than a generic city souvenir.
