About this altonah gift
Altonah is a small place, and that's exactly why people who grew up there hold onto it. A town that size tends to be known by everyone, so a shirt with its name is a quiet way of saying where you're from, and it lands with someone who has spent years explaining that they're from a town most people have never heard of. For the person who left and still counts it as home, a shirt or mug with Altonah on it is a small reminder of the place they miss. For someone who still lives there, it's a way to wear their hometown without making a fuss about it. Because the name is distinctive, it works as a conversation starter: people will ask where it is, and the person wearing it gets to tell them. A hoodie suits the cold months, a tee the warm ones, and a mug fits the morning routine for anyone who keeps a piece of home close while living somewhere else.
