About this blue island gift
Blue Island is a small city on Chicago's south side, and the people who grew up there tend to hold onto it. A Blue Island shirt is how someone who left for work or school keeps that connection, and how a longtime resident shows they're proud of a place that doesn't get much attention from outsiders. Because it's a smaller city, a Blue Island gift often means more to the person than a bigger-city souvenir would, since most people wearing one have a real story behind it. Think about whether they're a lifelong local, a transplant who settled there, or someone who just moved away. A hoodie suits a cold Illinois winter, a mug suits the morning routine of someone missing home, and a kids tee or onesie lets a family start its own Blue Island tradition. Add a second line with a street, a school year or a family name and the design becomes theirs.
