About this bogalusa gift
Bogalusa is a small city in Washington Parish in southeastern Louisiana, and people from there tend to hold on to the name wherever they end up. A shirt with Bogalusa on it is how a former resident wears their hometown to a reunion, a game, or a weekend back on the old streets. Because the city is small, a shirt that says Bogalusa can mean something specific to the people who know it, and that's what makes it land. Add a second line with a school class year, a neighborhood, or the years they lived there, and the design becomes a memory rather than a souvenir. Hoodies suit the cold snaps that come through Louisiana in winter, and mugs work for the relative who keeps a kitchen table full of family news. For the one who left, a Bogalusa shirt is the easiest way to say they still think of home.
