About this bumpus mills gift
Bumpus Mills is a small Maine town, and people who grew up there tend to hold onto it hard, whether they still live a few miles from the old main street or have spent decades somewhere much bigger. A shirt with the town name is how a former resident says where they're from without a long explanation, and it works just as well for someone who still goes back for the summer or the holidays. Because the town is small, a shirt or mug is likely to get noticed by someone who knows exactly where it's from, which is part of the fun. Add a second line with a street, a class year or the name of the family farm or business they remember, and it becomes a gift that sounds like them. A hoodie suits the cold months, and a mug is a good pick for the transplant who misses home and wants a daily reminder of it.
