About this dance professor gift
A dance professor spends the day in a studio with a sprung floor, mirrors on one wall and a piano or speaker going, correcting arches, counts and turnout one student at a time. They often teach late into the evening, and a lot of their work happens in leotards and warm-up layers that get worn to pieces. A gift that suits that life is something soft and practical for the studio bag or the drive home. Put the word professor and their own title on it, or add the name of the program or the company they teach for, so it reads as theirs rather than a generic dance shirt. A mug works well for the rehearsal-room kitchen where they grab coffee between classes. If you're buying for a whole faculty or ensemble, one design with each person's name on their own shirt is a good way to mark a season of shows or a farewell after many years of teaching.
