About this director culinary gift
A culinary director usually runs the kitchen without spending most of the night on the line. They plan menus, set food costs, train chefs and answer for everything that goes out the door, often across several restaurants or a hotel's entire food program. Their days stretch from pre-service tastings to late inventory counts, so the gifts they keep tend to be practical things they can use between tastings. A dark tee works for a kitchen walk-through, a hoodie for the cold walk-in, and an 11 oz mug for the office coffee that never gets finished while it's hot. Put their title on it in the text box, or add the restaurant group or the year they took the role. That turns a generic chef shirt into one that means they made it to the top of the kitchen.
