About this director curriculum gift
A director of curriculum usually spends the school year in meetings with teachers, reviewing test data, and trying to make a district's lessons add up across grades. It's a job with a lot of planning and very little visible payoff, so the gifts they keep tend to be the ones that acknowledge the work behind the title. A hoodie for the cold early-morning drive to a district office, a mug for the stack of standards documents waiting on the desk, or a tee they can wear on a school in-service day all fit the job. Putting their actual title on the design, rather than just the word curriculum, makes it feel like it was made for them. If you know their district, school or subject focus, the second line is a good place to add it. Many educators also get gifts around the end of the school year, when the big revisions are wrapped up and the summer work begins.
