About this flugelhorn gift
A flugelhorn player usually sits between trumpet and horn in the band, with a warmer, rounder sound than a trumpet and a mellower tone than a cornet. Many play it in brass choirs, jazz combos, marching bands and church groups, and they often switch between it and a trumpet in the same concert. Music people tend to be particular about their instruments, so a gift that names the flugelhorn exactly, rather than just saying trumpet or brass, will land well. A tee or hoodie is good for rehearsals and gigs, and a mug suits the stand next to the practice room or the coffee before a morning run-through. Add a second line with the group they play in or the year they started, and it becomes theirs.
