About this fort payne gift
Fort Payne is a small Alabama town in the northeast corner of the state, known as a hub for sock knitting and as the home base of the Alabama band. People who grew up there tend to carry the town with them, and a Fort Payne shirt is a quiet way to say where they're from. It fits the homecoming weekend, a visit back to see family, or a new job that moved them away from the place they still call home. Because the town is small, the people who know it are the people who get the joke, so a shirt with the town name feels like a private wink. Add a second line for a graduating class, a street or a family name and it becomes theirs. A mug works well for the kitchen where a Fort Payne native starts the morning, and a hoodie is the right pick for a cold day back at the family house.
