About this geriatric assistant gift
Geriatric assistants spend their shifts helping older adults with bathing, dressing, meals and the small daily tasks that keep people comfortable and independent. It's physical, patient work, and it often goes unnoticed until someone is gone for a day. A gift for them should acknowledge that care. A soft tee they can wear under scrubs or on a day off, a hoodie for cold mornings before the sun is up, or a mug for a break room coffee that stays warm long enough to finish. Add their name so the mug stays theirs, or put their job title on the front so the shirt says what they do. Give it on a quiet day rather than a holiday, since many assistants work weekends and holidays and a gift on an ordinary Tuesday tends to land well.
