About this hico gift
Hico is a small town in Hamilton County, Texas, and the people who come from there tend to hold on to it. Small-town pride shows up in the details: the high school football Friday, the church potluck, the drive back for a holiday weekend. A shirt that says Hico is how someone who grew up there wears it, and how a former resident who moved to Austin or Dallas keeps a little of home on the commute. Because the place is small, the gift works best when it's specific to the person: a second line with their graduating class, the year they moved away, or the family name they'd recognize at the post office. Hico shirts and hoodies suit homecomings and reunions, and a mug is a good pick for the transplant who misses the slower pace. Designs for the town come in adult, kids and baby sizes, so the whole family can match on a visit back.
