About this labadie gift
Labadie is a small place, and the people who grew up there tend to hold onto that. Labadie, Missouri is a river town on the Missouri side of the state, and anyone from a place that size knows the name means something specific to the folks who live there. A shirt or mug with the town name is how a former resident wears their roots, whether they're still close by or have moved to a city where nobody has heard of it. I'm not going to make up details about the town's history or landmarks, so the best way to make this gift theirs is to use what you know: the high school they graduated from, the year they left, the family road they grew up on. Add that second line and the design becomes a personal marker of where they're from, not just a place name. It works equally well for a parent who never left, a grandparent who keeps a reminder by the coffee maker, or a kid heading off to college.
