About this locust valley gift
Locust Valley is a hamlet on Long Island's North Shore, and people who grew up there tend to carry the name with them wherever they go. A shirt that says Locust Valley is for the kid who rode bikes down the village streets, the family that's been coming back for summers, or the grad heading off to college with a hometown pride that's hard to explain to roommates. The place has a particular feel, tree-lined and quiet, and a shirt or mug with the name on it is a quiet way to say where you're from. For someone who's moved away, a mug on the kitchen counter is an easy reminder. For someone who never left, a hoodie for the cold months is practical and a little bit of a joke among the people who know. Add a graduation year or a family name on the second line to make it theirs.
