About this nehawka gift
Nehawka is a small town in southeastern Nebraska, and the people who grew up there tend to stay connected to it, whether they still live in the area or have moved on to bigger places. A shirt with the town name is how they claim it at a reunion, a Nehawka-branded hoodie on a cold drive out to visit family, or a mug on the counter in a city apartment that reminds them where they're from. Small towns create a particular kind of pride, and a gift that names the place rather than a generic Nebraska slogan lands well with someone who grew up there. Many designs have a second line, so you can add a year, a graduating class, or a family name to make it personal. For someone who has left, a Nehawka mug or tee is a quiet way to say the town is still part of who they are.
