About this picayune gift
Picayune is a small city on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the kind of place where people know each other from church, the high school ballfield and the one good barbecue spot. A shirt that says Picayune is a way for a homesick former resident to say where they're from, or for someone who moved in more recently to claim the town as their own. Small-town pride usually shows up in the details, so add a street, a neighborhood, a school class year or a family name on the second line and it stops being a generic souvenir. The Gulf Coast climate means people wear T-shirts and hoodies a lot of the year, and a mug suits the porch coffee routine. Many designs also come as kids tees and baby onesies, so a whole family can match without a group text about sizes.
