About this psych nurse gift
Psych nurses work some of the hardest and most human shifts in the hospital. They spend the day building trust with patients who are scared, angry or exhausted, then go home and try to switch off. The gifts they keep tend to be soft, plain and a little bit funny, because that's the tone of the job. A tee for the drive home, a hoodie for the cold unit, a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't walk off the nurses' station. Put psych nurse on the front and add their credential, RN or BSN or PMHNP, or the unit they work on. That detail tells them you understand the work, not just the title. If you're shopping for a whole team, one design with each nurse's name on their own shirt is a better thank-you than another sheet cake. Nurses Week falls in early May, and graduations in May and December are busy for new psych nurses too.
All psych nurse gifts →- A tee with their credentialAdd RN, BSN or PMHNP on the second line so it reads as their own job, not a generic shirt.
- A hoodie for the cold unitPsych units can run chilly, and a hoodie they can wear over scrubs is useful every shift.
- A name mug for the stationAn 11 oz mug with their name keeps the coffee where it belongs and the break-room mix-ups down.
- Matching shirts for the whole teamPick one design in the Team Shop and paste the team's names. Each nurse gets their own size and name.
