About this refuse route driver gift
A refuse route driver starts before most people are awake and keeps the truck moving through a route they know street by street. The job is physical and mostly unseen until a pickup is missed, so the gifts that land are the ones that say their work counts. A tee for the cab or the off-duty weekend, a hoodie for the cold early mornings on the back step, a mug for the thermos they fill before the first stop. Add their name, or the route number or the crew they run with, and the shirt becomes theirs rather than a generic work shirt. If you're buying for a whole crew, one design with each driver's name on their own shirt is a better way to say thanks than another round of coffee. Keep in mind the early hours: a gift they can use in the truck or at the kitchen table before a shift tends to get worn far more than something saved for good.
