About this slow worm gift
Slow worms are legless lizards, not snakes, which is the first thing most people get wrong about them. They have eyelids and can drop their tails when grabbed, and they spend most of their lives under logs, stones and garden compost where you'd rarely see them. A gift for someone who loves slow worms is usually for a person who notices small wildlife, goes looking for it on evening walks, or keeps a patch of garden tidy for the creatures living in it. A shirt or hoodie with Slow Worm on it fits a day outdoors and starts a conversation with other people who care about reptiles and amphibians. A mug suits the morning tea before they head out to check the log pile. If the recipient is a kid fascinated by animals, a kids tee or baby onesie with the word works too, and a second line with their name or a favorite creature keeps it personal.
