About this southfield gift
Southfield is a suburban city in Oakland County, Michigan, north of Detroit, and plenty of people who grew up there or work there keep a strong sense of it wherever they go. A Southfield shirt is a way to claim the place: for a neighborhood reunion, a Michigan road trip, or the old friend who moved away and still says they're from there. Because it's a suburb rather than a headline city, the people who love it tend to love it for the everyday things, the local park, the school they went to, the crew they grew up with. Add a second line with the high school class year, a street, or the neighborhood name and the shirt starts to belong to one person. A hoodie works well for someone heading back to Michigan winters, and a mug fits the kitchen of anyone who still calls it home.
