About this water vole gift
A water vole is the small, round-faced rodent that lives along slow rivers and ditches, the one people in Britain still call Ratty from The Wind in the Willows. They're shy, they're often spotted only as a ripple and a splash, and anyone who's watched one swim along a bank has a soft spot for them. A gift with the water vole on it suits the person who spends weekends on the water, volunteers for riverbank surveys, or simply loves the wildlife that other people walk past. Put the name on a tee, a hoodie or a mug and it becomes the thing they wear when they head out to look for them. For a child who's just learned the name, a kids tee or baby onesie carries the same delight in a smaller size. You can add a second line for a river, a reserve or a year, so the gift fits their own patch of water.
