About this watervliet gift
Watervliet is a small city in upstate New York, on the west bank of the Hudson across from Troy and near the Albany area. People who grew up there, or who have family or a job tied to the area, often feel a real connection to it, and a shirt with the city name is a simple way to show it. It's a gift that works best for someone who lives there now or who left and still talks about it. Add a second line for a neighborhood, a street, a school class year or a family name, and the design starts to belong to one person rather than to the whole city. A hoodie suits the cold upstate winters, a tee works for summer trips back home, and a mug is the everyday reminder for someone who moved away. Since the city is smaller and less famous than some, the personal details you add will carry the gift more than the place name alone.
