About this bender gift
Bender is a word people tend to smile at, and it's also a real trade. Benders work in metal fabrication, shaping pipe, conduit and rebar on job sites and in shops, and a bender knows exactly what a clean radius and a correct offset take. A shirt or mug with their trade on it says you noticed the work, not just the joke. Those who bend for a living spend their days in gloves and boots, so a sturdy hoodie for the cold shop or a tee they can wear under a jacket on the job tends to get used. If the bender in your life is a coworker or a member of a crew, the mug and tee are a good way to mark a retirement, a promotion or a crew milestone. Add their name or a year on the second line and the gift stops being a pun and becomes theirs.
