About this director data base gift
A database director usually sits between engineering, analytics and leadership, deciding how company data is stored, secured and kept fast enough that nobody waits on a dashboard. Their days are full of schema reviews, backup plans and long conversations about who owns which table. A gift that acknowledges that work lands best when it's practical and a little dry in the right way. A hoodie for the server room or the late-night migration window, a mug for the coffee that gets them through the on-call week, or a tee for the team offsite. You can make any of these theirs by putting the title on it, director data base, or adding their team or company name on a second line if they'd like that. A title on a shirt reads as recognition rather than a gag, which is the kind of thing a senior person often appreciates more than they'd admit.
