About this hidalgo gift
Hidalgo is a name people tend to know from a few places: the Hidalgo County line along the Texas border, the city of Hidalgo in the Rio Grande Valley, and the Mexican state that shares the name. Someone who grew up there, or whose family came from the Valley, often carries it with real pride, so a shirt or mug with the word on it is a way of saying where they're from. Since the name covers both a city and a county, the second line is where you can get specific. Type the neighborhood, the high school, the year they moved, or a family nickname. A dark tee suits a hometown crowd at a game or a reunion, a hoodie works for the cold nights that do show up in the Valley winter, and a mug is the everyday reminder for someone who now lives far from home.
