About this latah gift
Latah is a small name for a place, and there's a good chance the person you're shopping for either lives there or grew up hearing the name at every town event. Small places run on pride. Locals show up to the high school game, the fair and the church supper, and they wear the town name because it's theirs. A shirt that says Latah is the kind of gift they'll reach for on the weekend and not think twice about. For someone who has moved away, a mug with the town name is a daily reminder of home, the one at the kitchen table in a city apartment or a new state. You don't need to know a lot of local history to pick something good. Choose a design that fits how they live, then add a second line with a year, a family name or a street, and it becomes theirs.
