About this nome gift
Nome is a small city on the Seward Peninsula in western Alaska, on the Bering Sea coast, and the people who live there tend to be proud of how far they are from everywhere else. A Nome shirt is a way to say you're from a place most people have to look up on a map, and that the winters are long and the summers are short and worth every minute. Many people who've lived in Nome or visited it carry the name with them to Anchorage, Seattle or Texas, and a Nome hoodie or mug is how they keep that connection on an ordinary day. The best gifts for someone from Nome are the ones that feel like home: something warm for the cold months, a mug for the morning coffee, or a tee for a reunion with old friends who understand the place. Type Nome into the text box, then use the second line for a year, a school class or a nickname to make the shirt theirs.
