About this schlater gift
Schlater doesn't match any city or place name I can confidently describe, so I'd rather not guess at its history, its landmarks or what the people who live there are proud of. What I can say is that a place-name shirt tends to mean the most to someone who grew up there or moved away and still calls it home. A tee or hoodie with the town on the front is how they show it at a reunion, at a game or on the drive back for the holidays. If you know the town well, a second line is the place to add something only locals would recognize: a street, a year they lived there, the high school they went to. That detail turns a generic town shirt into one that's clearly theirs. For someone who moved away, a mug with the town name is a small daily reminder of where they came from.
