About this shady side gift
Shady Side is a neighborhood, which means the people who call it home tend to be proud of the specific streets and corners they know. A shirt that says Shady Side is how a resident shows that pride on a walk to the corner store, at a block party, or on a trip back after they've moved away. It's the kind of local name that doesn't show up on souvenir racks, so a Shady Side tee is more personal than a generic city shirt. Add a second line with the street, the year they moved in, or the school they went to, and it becomes theirs. For someone who's left the neighborhood, a mug with the name is a small daily reminder of where they started. Dark tees suit the hometown crowd in fall and winter, and kids versions and baby onesies let whole families wear the name together.
