About this sodus gift
Sodus is a small village on the shore of Lake Ontario in upstate New York, and people from there tend to stay attached to it even after they've moved on. A Sodus shirt is how a former resident waves the flag at a reunion, on a visit home, or on a summer trip to the lake. Because the village is small, a shirt that says Sodus can read as a real local thing rather than a generic souvenir, and the people who recognize it will say so. It also suits anyone who grew up there and is heading off to college or a first job elsewhere, where a hoodie carries the hometown with them through the cold months. For the one who stayed, a mug on the kitchen counter is a quiet daily nod to where they belong. Add the year they left, the year they graduated, or the street they grew up on to make the shirt feel personal.
