About this tofte gift
Tofte is a small place on the North Shore of Minnesota, a lakeside village where the highway meets Lake Superior and the air gets cold even in summer. People who come from Tofte tend to carry it with them, and a shirt with the name is how they mark where they're from or where they've been. For a visitor who spent a week there hiking, paddling or just watching the lake, a Tofte tee or hoodie is a souvenir that doesn't feel like it came from a gift shop. For someone who grew up there and moved away, a mug with the village name on it is a small daily reminder of home. Many designs also come in kids sizes and baby onesies, so a whole family can match on a trip back. Add the year you went, or a second line with a nickname, and the shirt becomes a record of your own visit.
