About this waconia gift
Waconia is a small city in Carver County, Minnesota, on the north shore of Lake Waconia, and people who grew up there tend to stay proud of it. A Waconia shirt is how someone who left for college or a job out of state still says where they're from, and how locals show up at the lake, the high school games and the summer festivals. Small towns have their own in-jokes and their own sense of belonging, so a shirt or mug with the town name feels personal in a way a generic souvenir never does. For a relative who moved away, it's a reminder of home they can wear on any ordinary day. You can also add a year, a school class, or a street or neighborhood on the second line of many designs, which turns the town name into something specifically theirs.
