About this block captain gift
A block captain is the neighbor who knows everyone on the street, keeps the group text moving, and shows up with a clipboard when there's a power outage, a storm, or a block party to plan. Most block captains volunteer for it, which means they rarely get thanked in a way that feels personal. A shirt or mug with their title on it says someone noticed the work. Think about the details of their street: whether they run the emergency contact list, organize the holiday lights walk, or are the one who remembers everybody's dog's name. You can add their street name or block number on a second line, which turns a generic title into something the neighbors will recognize. The hoodie suits the early-morning neighborhood cleanup, and the mug is for the kitchen table where they plan the next meeting.
