About this documentation lead gift
A documentation lead usually sits between engineers, writers and the people who actually use the product, so they spend a lot of the week translating and chasing down answers nobody wrote up. They're often the one who notices a broken link or an out-of-date screenshot before a customer does, and they tend to care about clear wording in a way that rarely gets noticed. A gift that acknowledges that work tends to land well. A tee with their title on it works for a casual Friday or a weekend project, a hoodie fits the cold office or the long documentation sprint before a release, and a mug with their name and role keeps the coffee where it belongs on a busy morning. Add their team or product name on the second line if you know it, so the shirt says something about the work they're proud of rather than just their job title. If you're buying for the whole documentation group, the Team Shop can put every person's name on their own shirt in one design.
