About this lab intern gift
A lab intern is usually early in a science career, spending long days on bench work, running the same assay until it works and learning the names of every piece of equipment. They're often the one who shows up before the PI and stays after the freezer alarm goes off. A gift that acknowledges that early stage tends to land well: a tee for the commute, a hoodie for the cold room or the long walk between buildings, or a mug for the lab coffee that always runs out. Add the lab name or the program they're in, or change the second line to the year they started, and the shirt becomes a marker of this chapter rather than a generic science joke. Many interns are still figuring out where they belong, so a design that names the role is a small way of saying you see the work they're putting in.
